He was there to welcome Dorothy to Munchkin Land with a giant lollipop in 1939, and he celebrated his 93rd birthday earlier this week. Jerry Maren starred as the middle member of the Lollipop Guild in the classic film The Wizard of Oz, and the Boston native was honored on his special day by Councilmember Tom LaBonge.
