While The Simpsons shows no signs of ending as long as the show is profitable, and Futurama keeps returning from the dead more powerful than ever, creator Matt Groening has brought one of his creations to a conclusion. The last original strip for his popular comic, Life In Hell, ran on Friday, June 15. For the next month, publishers will have free rein to run any strips from the Hell archives they want, and on July 13, the whole strip will be wrapped. In an email to Poynter, Groening said, “I’ve had great fun, in a Sisyphean kind of way, but the time has come to let Binky and Sheba and Bongo and Akbar and Jeff take some time off.”
